A Tunisian Jew who has been in jail for over a month is being denied entry to kosher meals, his household stated.
Ilan Raccah, who’s his 20s, has been held since July 10 on the jail of Mornaguia, a western suburb of the capital Tunis, the Kountrass information web site reported Sunday. The report didn’t say exactly why Raccah was imprisoned besides that he’s suspected of inciting younger males to set the automotive of an area businessman on fireplace.
The investigating decide assigned to the case allowed the household to convey kosher meals to Raccah, whom they are saying adheres strictly to Orthodox Jewish legislation, or halachah. But the chief warden this weekend refused to take the kosher meals from Raccah’s family, forcing him to quick, the household stated.
Raccah has not eaten for greater than two days and can proceed to quick till he receives kosher meals, his lawyer stated in courtroom.
